Wall Street Skyline

Last night my dad, my little sister, and I went for a bike ride. We stopped at the promenade in Brooklyn Heights and took this picture.

A closed-in space

This is a picture of one section of Wall Street. This shows how closed in and small Wall Street is. There are tall buildings everywhere, that make the whole Wall Street neighborhood dark and shady. The buildings and narrow streets make Wall Street fell like its own world, and looking up at the sliver of sky in between the building tops, reminds us that we are part of New York City, and that there are many more neighborhoods that contribute to our community.

This is One of the views while looking up from Wall Street.

Faces of Wall Street

These are some of the people I saw on Wall Street yesterday.

This man was carrying balloons and a bouquet of roses.

This man was playing his instrument on the corner of Wall Street.

Theme: A trip to the dark side of Wall Street.
On our trip to Wall Street, we decided that it seemed too lonely and dark. We felt small compared to the huge buildings, and so we named it, our trip to the dark side of Wall Street.

The Financial District...continued

The Financial District is a busy, yet quiet neighborhood. People are always going from place to place, or preparing for such things to occur. Streets filled with people, cars and construction material. That day a movie was being prepped to fill. Workers and equipment filled the many streets of the Financial District. Still the streets were busy, still the streets are quiet...

This neighborhood is so crowded but I really don't understand why.

Climbing to Success

This neighborhood is full with gray and brown buildings. This is the only picture I took with a white building in it.

Through the mist it rises...

The streets

The streets are very crowded because they are very small. It gives you the feeling of being overcrowded and small because the buildings are very tall. It was a little annoying walking in the streets.

There are a lot of fence and people alike

Church

There's a huge church at the end of the street. I think it is a Gothic Church. In the Gothic times people  used to build very tall churches to make people feel small compared to god.

Wall Street, financial district

Every neighborhood in Wall Street is full of very tall buildings that create narrow streets and "city canyons".
