TriBeCa means the triangle below canal. Like a triangle, there are 3 sides of my neighborhood. There are the commercial streets that border the financial district and chinatown. These streets are filled with stores, cars, but especially people. As you get to the heart of TriBeCa, you see children fill the streets with the innocence of their smiles and laughter. The bright red playground and the many trees are visible through the gates of Washington Market Park and right next to the park my elementary school, PS 234. The third side of Tribeca is the condominiums that make up a concrete jungle of buildings. Some run down buildings made into lofts, others modern million dollar apartments. The culture and history of TriBeCa is still seen throughout my neighborhood. My favorite part is that there are so many different sides of TriBeCa, yet it's a unified family oriented place.
